UD Almería will be back to league action on 30 December in Cádiz

The fixture will be played at 7:15pm (CET) on Matchday 15. This will be the first time ever that both Andalusian sides will go head-to-head in the Primera Division.

UD Almería will be back to LaLiga Santander action on Friday, 30 December when they visit Cádiz CF at the Nuevo Mirandilla Stadium, a match that has been set at 7:15pm (CET). It will be aired live by Gol TV and Dazn. Most of the Matchday 15 top-tier fixtures will be played on that Friday, the penultimate day of the year 2022; three will be played on Thursday and as many on Saturday, 31 December, although these have been scheduled for New Year’s Eve due to geographical proximity: FC Barcelona vs Espanyol de Barcelona, Real Sociedad vs Osasuna and Villarreal CF vs Valencia.

UD Almería have learnt the date and kick-off time of their first official match -and the last one of the year 2022- while the Qatar World Cup is in full swing. By the way, this will be the first time ever that both Andalusian sides will go head-to-head in the top flight. Under the initials of UD, the Rojiblancos have only been able to obtain two draws with Cádiz CF on seven trips to West Andalusia, being narrowly defeated 5 times.

The last league fixture took place on 1 March, 2020, when both outfits were competing in the Segunda Division fighting for promotion to Primera Division. Cádiz CF earned promotion following a 2-1 victory over the Indalicos. They are still direct rivals this campaign as both teams are striving for the same goal, staying up in the top flight. The first semi-professional match for UD Almería was against Cádiz CF in Segunda Division ‘B’ -a Spanish third-tier that no longer exists- back in January 2001 at the Juan Rojas field.
