UD Almería are second bottom one point from safety and three from mid-table
The Rojiblancos had a recovery and reflection session before starting to prepare for Saturday's fixture against Cádiz CF, who are two points ahead of them.
Once Matchday 25 is over, UD Almería are second bottom in the table, a spot that, as head coach Rubi commented, is not significant right now. The Rojiblancos have collected 25 points so far, a number that in previous seasons was enough not to be in the relegation zone at this stage of the competition. This is how many of the sides that have been relegated in recent years have finished the league with less than 30 points, including UD Almería in the 2014/15 campaign (29 points).
The race against the drop is devilish and it is pretty tense at the bottom of the table. The Indalicos are the second bottom side, but they are only one point from safety and three behind the mid-table 13th place.
On Saturday, UD Almería are hosting direct rivals Cádiz CF at the Power Horse Stadium, who are two points ahead of the Rojiblancos, so in case of a home victory, UD Almería would place themselves above the Gaditanos and would claw themselves away from the trapdoor due to the pairings that have been scheduled on Matchday 26.
With this clear objective, UD Almería will begin preparations on Wednesday. Tuesday will be a day off for the squad following Monday's recovery and reflection session. The Rojiblancos, who continue to be one of the teams with the best home form in the Primera División, are confident in their chances.
César de la Hoz is eligible again after serving a one-game ban; Melero is now exercising on the pitch, while Akieme, who has accumulated yellow cards, and El Bilal Touré are awaiting the results of the medical tests they have undergone.
