Mohamed El Assy: 'We're calm; we trust the head coach and the squad'

The UD Almería Managing Director believes that the team has great capacity to bounce back and praises the fans for their unwavering support.

'We're calm; we trust the head coach and the squad,' stated UD Almería Managing Director Mohamed El Assy after the presentation of the Spain U21vs Switzerland U21 friendly that will be played on 24 March at the Power Horse Stadium, when at the request of the press, he answered their questions.

The Club CEO explained that 'this season is being very different because the teams who are fighting to avoid the drop are picking up many points, but the table is still not real for us because if we get the three points this Saturday, we'll move up to 13th place. We still have to wait because it's a very tight table.'

Mohamed El Assy regretted that UD Almería left Seville empty-handed; in fact, he indicated 'we deserved more; we created big chances. We were down on our luck, but football is like that. We cannot look back, but forward.'

Direct rivals Cádiz CF are the next up: 'The last 10 Matchdays are the most important, when everything is decided, but now there are 13 left and they're all very important too.'

The UD Almería Managing Director thanked the fans for their unwavering support, and he had no doubt that the team will count on their backing until the end of the campaign and thinks that the objective will be achieved if we all stick together.

When questioned about the head coach's future, he replied: 'We've been together for a long time, Rubi helped the team become Segunda Division champions and move up to Primera Division. We trust in him coming up with the solution to get out from bottom theee.' Regarding the squad, El Assy made it clear: 'our squad is better than others in the top tier,' so he believes that UD Almería has great capacity to bounce back in the competition.
