The rojiblanco Almeria B visit the invincible Linares on Sunday

Almeria B face a challenge in the leaders’ pitch Linarejos within Group IX of the Third Division. The meeting kicks off at 5 p.m.

The next game will bring Almería B and Linares Deportivo face to face. It will surely be one of the most difficult and challenging games of the season within Group IX of the Third Division. The UD Almeria B team next opponents have only been defeated once since the beginning of the competition. It will be a litmus test for the youth academy players who are heavily involved to guarantee promotion by holding on to their play-off spot.

The side led by Fernando Santos, ‘Nandinho, lost for the first time last week after their winning streak that lasted for fifteen match weeks, CF Motril being the ones who unfortunately defeated Almeria. Of course, the result of the match played in the Anexo training ground in the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium did not prevent the Almeria Academy team from leading the pack, although the result of the competition is too close to call.

Almeria B worked during the week with the intention of winning once more and doing so at the Council football pitch Linarejos, in which the Linarenses’ fans have only seen Linares Deportivo lose last October when the CD El Ejido bagged the three points. The rest of games that Almeria B’s next rivals played on home turf have resulted in victories. Also, Juan Arsenal and his homegrown players won one game after another for fifteen match weeks and keep a record of 21 wins, 2 draws and the aforementioned defeat. Last but not least, the top scorers of the group will battle it out.
