The ladies from Almería eager to get another big W on the road

The Rojiblancas host direct rivals Sporting de Huelva ‘B’ on Saturday (3:00 p.m. CET). The two teams are separated by one point

After three consecutive weeks without dropping points with two draws and a victory to their name, the UD Almería Women's team are eager to continue on their unbeaten run, which have prompted the escape from the drop zone, by beating direct rivals Sporting de Huelva ‘B’. The home match will be played, behind closed doors, at 3:00 p.m. (Spain Time) at the Constantino Cortés ground.

The Rojiblancas have trained with deep concentration during the week to avoid confusion when facing a team who have claimed two successive wins and sit one point above Almeria Women in the table. It is worth highlighting that the Huelva-based side are one game behind, so that the Indálicas have the possibility of outplaying them while waiting for that commitment.

Once the winter transfer window is over, caretaker coach Agustín Sánchez has welcomed new arrivals to the ladies squad. In contrast to the departure of María Flores, UD Almería Women have been strengthened with the addition of Isa Camacho and Cristina Redondo’s home return, which harks back to the era of promotion to Primera Nacional. In addition, Jessi Higueras is now ready to be handed a starting spot as her deal move has been completed.

The match between Almería Women and Sporting de Huelva ‘B’ will be played at 3:00 p.m. (CET) this Saturday at the Constantino Cortés ground, located in Los Molinos neighbourhood (Almeria). It will be a behind closed doors meeting complying with the health protocols that have been laid out by the Andalusian and Spanish government preventing the spread of Covid-19.
