The Almería Foundation team progress to the ‘Genuine Talent’ final

The song ‘Liga de Valores’ by Dani Aguilar could be the winner during the virtual competition of LaLiga Foundation on Saturday

The Almería Genuine, a UD Almería Foundation team, got through to the 1st edition of the ‘Genuine Talent’ final after the song 'Liga de Valores', composed by the Rojiblanco player Dani Aguilar obtained a certain number of likes on YouTube as to be in the top ten of the 36 participating clubs.

The celebration of the LaLiga Genuine Santander virtual competition is taking place on Saturday. Three winners will be chosen by the following judges: Fernando Sanz, president of Fundacion LaLiga, Felipe Martín, director of sponsorships, events and RRSS of Santander España; Miguel Justribó, Head of Communication and CSR at Telepizza; Santi Millán, actor, presenter and comedian; Gema Hassen-Bey, Paralympic medallist and communicator; as well as Jesús Vidal, actor and winner of a Goya Award in 2018 for his role in the Spanish film ‘Campeones’ (‘Champions’), a comedy about a basketball team featuring talented actors with developmental disabilities.

The UD Almería Genuine squad entered the Genuine Talent competition with a song titled ‘Liga de Valores’, composed and performed by the Rojiblanco player Dani Aguilar and which was choreographed by Miguel Ángel López. The author wanted to share with the lyrics his personal experience of overcoming bullying at school and the presence of the UDA Foundation in LaLiga Genuine Santander being key during his recovery.

Despite the impossibility of resuming sports and physical activity due to the Covid-19 pandemic, 36 clubs are to join LaLiga Genuine Santander virtual competition on 17/18 April. All the fans, supporters and followers will have the great opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable experience full of fun, sports and music with all the Genuine human and social values ​​present.

The above-mentioned judges announce the three winners of the 1st edition of Genuine Talent on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. (Spain Time). This year’s 10 finalists are Real Oviedo, RC Deportivo de la Coruña, Málaga CF, CD Tenerife, Real Zaragoza, Gimnàstic de Tarragona, Granada CF, CA Osasuna and CD Lugo and UD Almería.
