It has been nearly two months since UD Almería played their last league fixture but the wait is now over. Cádiz CF will be hosting the Rojiblancos this Friday. The UD Almería head coach has not hidden the relevance of getting the three points this Friday: 'Both teams will face the game as a final. It's a golden opportunity for both sides; for them, the points are essential to close the gap and placed themselves two points behind us and for us, to keep a considerable distance of 8 points that cannot be levelled earlier than in two or three weeks. This victory would give us peace of mind to continue growing with young players.'

The Rojiblancos' gaffer has praised the next direct rivals who have achieved positive results recently: 'Cádiz CF have done brilliant in their mid-season break. They're a team who keep on doing well as they've shown over this World Cup break. With their current coaching staff, ignoring their first five games and including last season, they've been doing quite well in general.' On that note, Rubi has stressed that 'despite the fact that neither of the two teams are at the top of the table, I'm convinced that we'll see a great game because Cádiz CF and UD Almería can put in a commanding display.'

Rubi explained that he expects a match that is 'a must-win test for both of us as we'll go into the game with high confidence. We're going to give it our all in order to bag the three points because it'd help us enormously.'

After almost two months without competing, Rubi has referred to his players' match fitness: 'The big question for a head coach before a game is what version your team will be after the break. We want to see the same performance that UD Almería put in against SS Lazio but obviously we know how difficult it's to keep up the good work and success; the objective is to see UD Almería with very clear ideas to score goals and clinch victories.'

New Year's Eve is around the corner so Rubi made a toast with the Club's official media colleagues who usually cover all the Club's information: 'I wish you all happiness and health, which is all that matters. We're eager to achieve good results to stay up in the league and if we do it soon, we'll go for higher positions.'
