RCD Espanyol complete Fernando Pacheco deal before deadline
Agreement reached between both clubs and the Extremadura native goalkeeper. Diego Mariño, signed last week, will occupy his place.
January transfer business done. UD Almería, RCD Espanyol de Barcelona and Fernando Pacheco have reached an agreement for the transfer of the Extremadura-born goalkeeper to the Barcelona-based club, so last week's recruit Diego Mariño will occupy his place.
Pacheco was signed last summer from Deportivo Alavés, although he has only played one LaLiga Santander fixture as a Rojiblanco against Villarreal CF in Valencia. Fernando Martínez's impressive form for UD Almería throughout the first half of the season has not given the departing goalie a chance.
The departure of Fernando Pacheco and the arrivals of striker Luis Suárez and keeper Diego Mariño have been the main first-team deals in this January transfer window. In addition, Appiah has been loaned out to Málaga while Iván Martos has been shipped out to FC Cartagena, as well as the termination of Javi Robles's contract by mutual consent.
