One more year, Almeria bring smiles to children hospitalised in Torrecárdenas

There were gifts delivered and a big surprise from José Gomes, who spoke via Zoom with German, a boy admitted to the hospital

UD Almeria have never lost its Christmas spirit and one more year, the club did not want to miss out on this special occasion with the children admitted to the Torrecárdenas University Hospital. The players’ traditional visit has not been possible according to the health and safety protocols adopted to avoid Covid infections, although there have been gifts delivered.

Lorena García, UD Almeria Foundation President, along with César Hernando, Marketing director of the club, visited Torrecárdenas Hospital so as to deliver some gifts such as football scarves and balls, which were received to the director of the hospital, Dr Manuel Vidal. The Three Wise Men were also pictured at the hospital spreading joy on this special day.

In addition, UD Almería José Gomes surprised Germán, one of the hospitalised children, with whom he had a friendly chat via Zoom. Previously, the club had also sent a video featuring the first-team skippers offering a few words of positive encouragement to the kids.
