Leganés pay tribute to Almería’s healthcare workers who received full support from the Club

The president, Victoria Pavón, presented a CD Leganes shirt with the name H.U. Torrecárdenas printed to Mohamed El Assy

CD Leganés took the opportunity during UD Almería's visit to the Butarque Stadium to thank and pay tribute to the Almeria’s healthcare workers for their hard work during this pandemic. The president of the Pepineros’ club, Victoria Pavón, presented a CD Leganes shirt with the name of the Torrecárdenas University Hospital printed to Mohamed El Assy, director general and CEO of the Rojiblancos club.

The event took place just before the match kick-off at the Butarque Stadium box. The rest of the healthcare centres from the province of Almería were also honoured for their services. This initiative has been undertaken by CD Leganés aimed at all the clubs who visit their venue.

Let’s not forget the complete support that Almeria’s healthcare workers have received from Union Deportiva Almería, since a large amount of the 1,200,000 € donated by the club's president, Turki Alalshikh, was destined for medical equipment and supplies for hospitals in Almeria.
