UD Almería players are in the building after some time off

The Rojiblancos get to work with full focus on in-form Atlético de Madrid, who are at their electric best in the league.

The UD Almería players are in the building after a couple of days off and the vital victory achieved over direct rivals Valencia CF last Sunday. The squad members are now focusing squarely on Sunday's trip to Madrid, where they will take on Atlético de Madrid at the Cívitas Metropolitano Stadium (kick-off 6:30pm CEST).

The Rojiblancos are aware that they are going to face probably the best team in the LaLiga Santander right now. In fact, the Colchoneros are on a twelve-game unbeaten streak following three draws and nine triumphs, the last five in a row. With these numbers, they have placed themselves just two points behind runners-up Real Madrid CF at the top of the table.

UD Almería will head into this encounter after climbing out of the drop zone and sitting 16th, three points clear of the relegation positions. The last victory has undoubtedly boosted their confidence and self-esteem towards the next battles to come.

The Indálicos have trained on the Anexo ground along with UD Almería 'B' youngster Marciano, who was named in the squad list against Valencia CF three days ago. 'B' team goalkeeper Mert has also taken part in the first team's training session this Wednesday morning.

UD Almería return to the office at 10:30am this Thursday at the training base, while this Friday and Saturday, before flying out to Madrid, the players will be training at the Power Horse Stadium. All these sessions will be delivered behind closed doors.
