José Gomes: ‘We have to keep calm to get out of this situation that nobody likes’

The Almeria head coach highlights that ‘gifts in football are paid dearly’ in relation to Las Palmas' goal in the 7th minute

During the post-match video-conference José Gomes stressed the importance of ‘keeping calm to get out of this situation that nobody likes’ and he did it after Almería were defeated in Las Palmas. That is the reason why the head coach added that ‘we have to keep on working with intelligence and looking for the best way’ for his players to achieve victory again.

The Portuguese head coach believes that ‘winning gives confidence to everything’, underlining that ‘that is what we really need.’ In addition, the gaffer pointed out the need to be more decisive: ‘We have started the game well, but we conceded the goal in the 7th minute. They are gifts that are expensive in the world football.’

José Gomes also pointed out that ‘pressure is a constant in football and if you can't handle it, you can't be’ in this sport. By the same token, he has been confident in being able to reverse the situation soon: ‘I’m sure that with the quality that we have and with the hard work we are doing, the victories will surely come.’
