Getting back into ‘LaLiga SmartBank’ mood!

UD Almería off training this Wednesday. Back to work on Thursday. Spanish Cup second-round draw this Friday and trip to Fuenlabrada on Saturday

After beating Aguilas FC on penalties in the Copa del Rey first-round tie, UD Almería are now turning their attention to their prime objective, getting promoted to the top tier. There is still a long way to go and the Rojiblancos must go step by step, game by game if they want to reach their ambitious goal. Now it is time to focus on their next outing to Fuenlabrada this Saturday for a 6:15pm kick-off (Matchday 19). It will be the third-to-last fixture of the first half of the championship.

The Rojiblancos got back home from Águilas after midnight. The squad members have a break this Wednesday. On Thursday and Friday, the players will be training behind closed doors to prepare for the next league appointment with CF Fuenlabrada. Samú Costa will feature in the encounter after serving a one-game ban.

The UD Almeria travelling squad will be flying charter to Madrid on Saturday before the next game and will head back home after the final whistle.

Before that, the Spanish Cup second-round draw is taking place on Friday. The 56 qualified teams from the first round, including UD Almeria, will be in the hat.
