Mohamed El Assy, Rubi, Fernando, César de la Hoz and Lazo visited the Patroness Saint of Almería city

UD Almería have made this Thursday a floral offering to the Patroness Saint of Almeria city Virgen del Mar on the occasion of the start of the next 2022/23 season; a traditional event celebrated by the Rojiblancos at the kick-off and at the conclusion of each and every campaign.
Father José Barrado, as well as representatives of the Brotherhood of the Virgen del Mar, have played hosts to the representation of UD Almería, formed by Managing Director Mohamed El Assy; first-team head coach Rubi and also co-captains Fernando, César of the Hoz and Jose Carlos Lazo. Some members of the UDA Federation of Supporters Clubs and directors of the current and former ownership of the Club were also present.
Father José Barrado recalled 'a few months ago you were here to thank the Virgen del Mar for the promotion to the top flight achieved. You are now ready to begin the season in the first division, something which is an honour for everyone.' Meanwhile, he underlined that not only the Patroness Saint's support for the team will help UD Almería this upcoming season, but also setting an example of sportsmanship and fair play at all times.
