First training session of 2023 gets underway in Almería

The Rojiblancos are preparing to overcome all obstacles in the way ahead of Sunday's fixture against Real Sociedad at the Power Horse Stadium.

After a hard-fought draw with Cádiz CF last Friday, UD Almeria had two days off to celebrate NYE and New Year's Day. They completed this Tuesday morning their first session of 2023 in order to prepare Sunday's fixture against third-placed Real sociedad at the Power Horse Stadium (KO 2pm CET/ Matchday 16).

Then, a week later, fourth-placed side Atlético de Madrid will also be visiting the South Coast of Spain on Sunday, 15 January so...two stern tests on the bounce are around the corner!

The new year begins with some obstacles along the way given the enormous potential of the next opponents to take on, although the Indálicos will try their best to overcome them and with this target training gets underway.

The whole team has been training on the Anexo's grass, where training continues this Wednesday and Thursday at 10:30am. Friday and Saturday's football practices will be held at the Power Horse Stadium at a similar time as Sunday's kick-off. The last three sessions will take place behind closed doors.

Central defender Rodrigo Ely is available for selection again after serving a one-game ban. In addition, the Club is waiting to be able to register Luis Suárez once the January transfer window opens.
