El Bilal Touré: 'With the attitude shown against FC Barcelona, we'll continue scoring points'
The Malian match-winner explains that the goal he scored against Barça comes from a play practised in training.'
'With the attitude and mentality that we showed against FC Barcelona last Sunday, we'll continue scoring points and moving forward in the championship,' explained UD Almería striker El Bilal Touré to the Club's official media after scoring the only goal of the game in the 24th minute, finishing brilliantly after latching on to a great pass from peer Luis Suarez on the last Matchday.
The Malian footballer admitted that 'before the game, nobody thought they could score against FC Barcelona,' since the Culés had only conceded 7 goals this season so far, but as he added 'anyone can do it with hard work. The striker's objective is to score a goal by a stroke of luck. If my goal contributes to the victory, it's an immense satisfaction, but the important thing is to pick up the points whoever scores. I want to continue working hard to get more goals.'
El Bilal Touré explained 'the play that led to the goal was worked on during the week's training sessions; We knew how to counter-attack Barça and where each one of us was meant to be placed. We were fortunate that it worked out perfectly. We all know Ter Stegen, a goalkeeper with an extensive experience, who knows how to position himself. When I got to the goal, I didn't calculate to shoot to one side or the other either. I just shot at goal with a deep desire.'
As soon as the 21-year-old striker found the net, he asked his team-mates to be intelligent in the match: 'FC Barcelona are capable of coming back from behind in any game, so I wanted to tell my team-mates that we knew how to control the situation.' El Bilal Touré is the team's top scorer with 6 goals earned to his name so far: 'Everyone makes it easy for me to adapt: head coach, team-mates, staff... Then, things can turn out better or worse, but in my case, I'm having luck,' underlined the former Ligue 1 Stade Reims player.
The Indálicos are playing again at home against Villarreal CF this Saturday (KO 4:15pm CET), another of the top clubs of Spanish football. On that note, the UD Almería interviewee pointed out 'it's a great team and I'm sure that we'll get ahead, like against FC Barcelona, with a lot of work. I believe that collecting either one point or three is that counts... not just losing games.'
