Back in! Umar Sadiq, Akieme, Ramazani and Lluís in the Almeria squad

Almería are flying charter at 5.45 p.m. to Logroño, where this Saturday, at 4 p.m. Spain Time, they will face their third league fixture

Umar Sadiq, the second-to-last signing made by UD Almería in the summer transfer window, has been named in the Rojiblancos squad ahead of the game that takes place this Saturday, at 4:00 p.m. Spain Time, against Logroñés at the Las Gaunas Stadium, corresponding to the SmartBank league matchday 5, although it will be their third championship fixture.

The Nigerian striker, who moved from FK Partizan Belgrade, arrived feeling ankle pain, but is now back on his feet and available. Akieme have also been included in the squad list, after serving one-game ban, as well as Ramazani and Almeria B goalkeeper Lluís Tarrés. On the contrary, goalie Makaridze, centre-back Maraš and Jorge Cuenca are away on international duty with their national teams. Jordi Escobar, newcomer to UD Almería; Appiah, who is still recovering from surgery and Juan Gutiérrez, will also miss the meeting.

The Rojiblancos have been working their fingers to the bone this week. The players completed a final training session at the Anexo training pitch before catching a charter flight at 5,45 p.m. to the Northern city of Logroño (La Rioja). 

Almeria’s head coach José Gomes named a 23-man squad:

Goalkeepers: Fernando (13) and Lluís Tarrés (39). 

Defenders: Aitor Buñuel (2), Balliu (20), Peybernes (4), Chumi (21), Alex Centelles (12) and Akieme (15). 

Midfielders: Manu Morlanes (5), César de la Hoz (6), Petrovic (8), Robertone (14), Aketxe (10), Joao Carvalho (19), Samú Costa (22), Aketxe (10), Olivera ( 11), Lazo (16), Corpas (17) and Ramazani (32). 

Forwards: Juan Villar (7), Umar Sadiq (9) and Pedro Mendes (26).
