Babić: ‘We’re a solid team in which we all defend and attack’

The central defender underlines on UDA Radio ‘we’re doing a great job,’ but points out ‘we haven’t achieved anything yet'

UD Almeria central defender Srdan Babić has spoken on UDA Radio, the Club's official station, about the latest news of the Rojiblancos team and has not hesitated to state ‘it’s a great time for us. We feel confident and we want to take advantage of it to continue on the right path. When asked about the keys to success, he made it clear ‘we’re a solid team in which we all defend and attack.’

The Serbian clarified ‘we know what we have to do at all times and we help each other. We always stick together.’ The Rojiblanco centre-back stressed ‘we’re doing a great job,’ but at the same time he pointed out ‘but we haven’t achieved anything yet. We still have a long way to go.’

In his opinion, the matches will be getting more and more complicated since, as he argued, ‘all the teams are eager to beat the leaders in a bid to stop our winning streak and give 110%  on the field.’

UD Almería have not conceded a goal in 4 consecutive Matchdays so the 25-year-old player said: ‘everyone in the squad work in defence and support each other; The same happens in attack, we play out from the back ind and we all collaborate. There’s unity and commitment, something that is vital in a team.’

Babić believes that the best is staying on track in the next two matches that will be played at the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium in a row, since as he commented ‘we have to continue to be strong at home, have possession... as we’re going to face two tough adversaries.’

The imminent rivals coming down south are Real Valladolid CF, ‘We only have to be focused. They’ve got great players and so do we. With all due respect for them, we want to continue collecting three points at a time.Despite it’ll be very difficult, we’ll be playing at home with our fans in the stands.’

On a personal level, he pointed out ‘when you arrive at a new Club... you have to adapt to everything and although for me it wasn’t too complicated, it always takes time. Now I feel really well integrated, I’m comfortable in the Club in this city with great confidence.’
