Almeria’s head coach José María Gutiérrez banned for two matches

His assistant coach, Antonio Ruiz Vilches, will not take over from José María Gutiérrez as he was also suspended after the game in Huesca

The Spanish Football Federation has suspended the Almeria’s head coach, José María Gutiérrez, for two matches after he was sent off during the game against Huesca last week. He will not be able to sit on the pitch side bench neither in the next meeting against Fuenlabrada this Saturday, nor in the next one visiting Cádiz CF.

The gaffer was ejected for dissent after he vociferously called for David Costas to be awarded a penalty in the last minutes of the match. José María Gutiérrez told the ref that the same action was fouled two weeks earlier against Numancia.

For the same reason, the assistant coach Antonio Ruiz Vilches, has also been suspended for two games.
