Almería Women to start an exciting new season in ‘Primera Nacional’ with boundless enthusiasm

The Andalusian women’s team will be visiting Sporting de Huelva ‘B’ on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. CEST

The UD Almería women's team are about to start a new season in group IV of ‘Primera Nacional Femenina de España’, which is the third-tier of league competition for Spanish women’s football. After nearly seven months without playing an official match, as a result of the championship suspension due to the coronavirus pandemic, the girls led by coach Carlos Hinojo are visiting Sporting de Huelva ‘B’ to get the 2019/20 campaign started.

The Rojiblanco women’s team are to face this new season after having gained great experience throughout the past year. In point of fact, the Almeria’s players, who were experiencing their first opportunity within this league level, managed to maintain a good run of results, placing themselves regularly in the upper-middle zone of the table.

It will not be until 5:30 p.m. CEST on Saturday when UD Almería Women are travelling to the Andalusian city of Huelva, to take on adversaries Sporting de Huelva 'B' at the ‘Campos Federativos De La Orden’ ground. Carlos Hinojo counts on the following players for this very first meeting this 2020/21 season: Andrea, Pelu, Chelo, Esther, Mati, Rocío, Ana, Fátima, Nadia, Paqui; Ani, Anita, Pilar, Irene, María Flores, Sonia, Cristina and Flores.

It is worth highlighting that in addition to the Huelva-based women’s team, Almeria will compete in the same group as other sides such as Mérida, Cádiz, CD Badajoz, CD Castuera Subastacar, CD Híspalis, Cáceres Atlético Women, AD FB La Rambla, Málaga ‘B’ and Real Betis ‘B’. The talented girls from Almeria will once again have a very demanding season ahead, which they are utterly determined to face with boundless enthusiasm.
