Almería Women start 2021/22 pre-season campaign

The girls’ team perform a first training session at the Emilio Campra Youth Stadium to kick off preparations ahead of the next season

UD Almería Women are already up and about. After the summer holidays, the Rojiblancas took part in the first training session on Monday afternoon as their pre-season campaign kicks off ahead of the competitive Primera Nacional women’s league start on Sunday, 5 September hosting Las Rozas.

The three summer signings are the new faces within the Indalicas dressing room. Marta Paz and Sarita -who moved from Cádiz CF Women- and María González, who arrived from UD Águilas Women, joined their new team-mates on a day in which physical fitness was combined with ball work. It is worth noting that some footballers with valuable experience in the category stay in the side.

There are also new additions to the backroom team: Agustín Sánchez continues to occupy the position of head coach, Papa Masse remains as a goalkeeping coach, physiotherapist Sole Morales, who was present in some phases of the past season, and also delegate Luis López, who took that role in numerous 2020/21 fixtures, will be part of the coaching team. Assistant coach Juanfran Maleno, fitness coach Hugo Castro and analyst Juan Francisco Romero have joined the coaching set-up too.
