Almería Women host Sevilla ‘B’ with an eye to avoiding the drop

A victory would propel the Rojiblancas out of the relegation zone in the table

The UD Almería Women's team are next due to a new match week within group IV competing in Spanish Women’s third-tier called Primera Nacional. The ladies are fully aware of the importance of collecting all three points to run away from the relegation zone. The Rojiblancas will be welcoming Sevilla Women ‘B’ to the Constantino Cortés ground on Saturday with kick-off at 4,30 p.m. CET.

Almeria, who are dangling at the bottom of the table, but having played one more match in relation to the two sides who follow them behind -Merida and San Miguel -, have worked with intensity and deep concentration throughout the week to be able to reverse the situation and therefore, turn the good feelings experienced in the last fixture against Cádiz CF Women into points. That defeat was kind of unfair and did not reflect their solid performance.

On that note, Andrea Ríos, skipper of the Indálicas, highlighted during a friendly chat with the club’s official media: ‘We’re Almería and we’re going to get the project off the ground because of the positive dynamics and the great players that we have in the squad.’

With regard to Sevilla Women ‘B’, the Andalusians are currently on a winning streak in the competition. In fact, the Hispalenses have won their last three games. They sit sixth in the group.

The girls will take to the stage for the official game that is going to be played at 4:30 p.m. (Spain Time) at the Constantino Cortés ground located in Almeria city. The meeting will be held behind closed doors following anti-Covid measures adopted in sports facilities.
