Almería recharge batteries before a long week until league action gets back

The Rojiblancos performed a post-match compensation workout. Sunday off. Back in the thick of activity on Monday

UD Almería, who played against Rayo Vallecano last Friday evening at the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium, trained this Saturday morning at the Anexo training ground and on the indoor warm-up track of the Stadium too. It was a practice that together with Sunday off will help the Rojiblancos recharge their batteries after a short and hectic week of competition and ahead of another long, long week that awaits them. In fact, the next fixture of the championship will take place next Sunday, 11 April in Zaragoza.

The starters who took on Rayo Vallecano did not work out on the pitch, they stayed doing a post-match compensation workout on the stadium's indoor warm-up track instead, while the rest of their team-mates exercised more intensively at the Anexo pitch and also played matches in reduced-size pitches to adjust individual training workloads.

The players will be off duty on Sunday while they will be returning to training on Monday at 10.15 a.m. on the Anexo lawn. As the LaLiga SmartBank meeting in Zaragoza will not be played until next Sunday, it is possible that the squad could be given one more day off on a weekday.

José Gomes will be able to count on Georgian keeper Makaridze for the encounter at La Romareda, who has already served a one-game suspension. On the contrary, Ivanildo and Morlanes will be suspended as the centre-back  got sent off last Friday and the midfielder accumulated yellow cards.
