Almeria Foundation face the second phase of LaLiga Genuine Santander

The team will take on At. Madrid, Real Oviedo and Albacete at the Real Betis Balompié’s training ground, Ciudad Deportiva Luis Del Sol, this weekend.

The UD Almeria group of players with Intellectual Disability are taking on three teams in the second phase of ‘Liga de los Valores’ (LaLiga Genuine Santander). Their sporting event will take place at Ciudad Deportiva Luis Del Sol, which is the Real Betis Balompié’s training ground, in Seville.

UD Almería will play against the following teams: Atlético de Madrid Foundation, Real Oviedo and Albacete Foundation on February 28-29 and March 1.

‘There is an atmosphere of enthusiasm, motivation and commitment of every single player and coaching staff to begin this phase of LaLiga Genuine Santander in Seville with the best guarantees to live up to the greatest clubs and share with them good times. Of course, we are able to compete at their level’, said their coach Miguel Ángel Gutiérrez.

The Santander Genuine League is much more than just a football competition. This League, managed by LFP Foundation (National Professional Football League), is divided into two groups, the ‘Companionship" and the ‘Sportsmanship’. The UDA Foundation team are competing in the latter group, due to the positive results obtained in the previous phase, which was held at ‘Nàstic’ Sports facilities in Tarragona.
