Almeria ‘B’ turn attention to Antequera CF following competition break this weekend

Almeria ‘B’ vs El Palo, postponed due to Covid-19. Date and kick-off to be confirmed

The UD Almería second-team do not lose focus on their participation in the mini-league for promotion to Segunda Division RFEF and therefore, they have already set their sights on the next weekend’s league commitment. The youth team neither will host nor will they travel this weekend following game versus El Palo postponement due to Covid-19, but the Almeria ‘B’ talents will be heading to Antequera on Sunday, 25 April. The third game’s date and kick-off time are still to be confirmed.

Fernando Santos ‘Nandinho’ players performed a recovery training session last Thursday in order to improve their fitness and reduce the chances of picking up injuries after their one-all draw last Wednesday on Velez’s ground. The training workload increased on Friday.

The UD Almeria Academy boys have scored in the two games played so far, but the club coefficients are primarily used to rank the teams, and that means that the Almeria ‘B’ coefficient has been lowered to 1,59 following their last results. These numbers place the Rojiblancos in fifth position, although the table is not complete yet, nor will it be after this weekend, given that El Palo's appointments against Torredonjimeno and the Almeria youth team have been suspended.

Almería ‘B’ will pay attention to the results of the rest of their fellow sides to calculate what they need to achieve if they want to get closer to automatic promotion and at the same time, improve their position in case they have to participate in the play-offs.

Meanwhile, the Indálicos have set their sights on the fourth mini-league for promotion game to be played at El Maulí in Antequera next week.
