Almeria ‘B’ determined to clinch a home victory against Atlético de Porcuna

The homegrown youngsters play against the Jaén-based team on Saturday, at 6:00 p.m. Spain Time, at the Anexo training pitch

After learning their lesson when sharing the spoils with Torredonjimeno, the UD Almería second-team are to host Atlético de Porcuna seeking to clinch a victory again in the appointment that will be played on Saturday, at 6:00 p.m. CET, at the Anexo training ground next to the Juegos Mediterraneos stadium. 

The Academy products, who let 2 points slipped through their fingers in the last gasp of the previous official match, have been working hard during the week fully aware of the utmost importance of the good moments seen during their last matchdays to bring about a new victory. 

Despite experiencing a loss to Ciudad de Torredonjimeno, the Rojiblancos have been on a positive run of results for three games without being defeated, scoring a total of 10 goals, which allowed the Academy youngsters to move up to second place on 8 points in group IX ‘A’ within Tercera Division, becoming the top scoring team in the fourth tier of Spanish football. Team coach Fernando Santos, 'Nandinho', will not announce the squad list as he is waiting to talk to the first-team coaching team to find out which footballers whose daily training takes place along with LaLiga SmartBank senior players, will be available for Almería ‘B’ action. On the other hand, Vertiz will surely miss out following one-match suspension after being sent off last weekend. 

Atlético de Porcuna are placed in the penultimate position within the relegation zone after having won 4 points in the five games they have played so far. The Jaén-based side have presented themselves as a team with a strong defence, demonstrated in their four draws. In fact, although they have not notched up a victory yet, the youth team have only ended up empty handed once. 

The Matchday-8 fixture within Tercera Division group IX ‘A’ will be played at the Anexo training ground next to the JM Stadium behind closed doors according to the current protocol against Covid-19.
