3-1: Almería Women’s winning streak is over

The Rojiblancas fell to Málaga CF Women ‘B’, but they continue 3 points far away from the drop

The UD Almería Women's squad fell 3-1 to Málaga CF Women ‘B’. The Rojiblancas gained momentum in the second forty-five minutes, but did not manage to outclass their strong opponents. Ana Carrascosa made it 3-1 before the final whistle but could not secure a comeback win.

Claudia doubled Malaga’s lead 2-0 at a quarter of an hour. Afterwards, Almería Women generated momentum, although without creating clear goal-scoring opportunities. After a series of goal attempts, opponent Paula struck and found the net (3-0). It was the 41st minute.

The second half started with a double change in the starting XI chosen by Agustín Sánchez, who introduced Ana Carrascosa and Eva for Mireya and Flores. This would be a period of the game in which the Almeria ladies had more ball possession and got closer to their characteristic football. Nadia, Pani and Marisa performed during the second half.

Almería put up a good fight to change the game around and Ana Carrascosa did her bit 83 minutes in, putting her name to make it 3-1, which would be final score.

In this way, UD Almería Women saw their two-week winning streak halted. Nevertheless, the Rojiblancas remain three points above relegation, so they continue to depend on themselves to continue competing in the Primera Nacional Women's Division next season.
