3-1: Almería Women get it done and now they will have to wait...

The Rojiblancas beat Santa Teresa 'B' to keep the pressure up at the top in a bid to move up a rank next campaign

UD Almería Women achieved a comprehensive victory over Santa Teresa 'B', so the Rojiblancas will now have to wait to know the results of Badajoz Women, who are five points ahead before their game on Sunday, and equal on points with the girls from Cacereño, who will be also playing this Sunday and have one game in hand. Goals from Sarita, Mati and Carrascosa earned  the Indalicas a victory at the Emilio Campra Youth Stadium (3-1).
In general terms, the superiority of Almeria Women was total. After a stretch of the first half with a lot of ball possession but without chances, in the 25th minute, Jessi had the first opportunity to take the lead for the hosts in an action in which Paqui finished off over the crossbar in a 50-50 duel. This would be the first fine attempt before the 1-0. With 34 minutes on the clock, Marta Paz took a free-kick from a wide position and Sarita headed home.
Santa Tersa 'B' were about to equalise through a shot by Sheila Corrato that hit the crossbar, although it did not take long for the Rojiblancas to return to boss things as they doubled the lead on the edge of the break in a new set-piece play in which Marta Paz crossed in, Ana Carrascosa set up a chance and Mati made it 2-0.
After the restart there were several opportunities by UD Almería Women, who did not want miss the option of continuing to put pressure on the last Matchdays of the championship. However, Santa Teresa 'B' took advantage of the only mismatch of the home team in the match so that Alicia converted and pulled one back 61 minutes in (2-1).
UD Almería Women were not in danger, maintaining organisation on the pitch. With 78 minutes gone, Ana Carrascosa —who played a brilliant game— earned her name onto the scoresheet (3-1).
UD Almería Women reached 43 points and will have to wait to know the results of their direct rivals and see if there are still options for promotion. In this sense, Badajoz Women, who sit second and play on Sunday against La Cañada, are currently five points ahead of the Indalicas, while the girls from Almeria are tied with Cacereño 'B', although they have a postponed game from last week in hand.
