2-1: UD Almería 'B' fail to defeat Huétor Tájar and end winning streak
Two goals either side of the break from the Granada-based team left the youthful Rojiblancos empty-handed. Marciano scored the equaliser.
UD Almería 'B' were trailing within 16 minutes because of Scigliotti's opener. From that point on, the UDA Academy prospects created more threatening situations and Marciano grabbed the equaliser in the 37th minute. In the second half, a great opportunity was wasted by Marciano on 58 minutes to take the lead and the visitors found themselves on the losing side at the end of the match following a great brace from Scigliotti (2-1).
The hosts started the match with considerable confidence on their pitch with their supporters making their voices heard far and wide, a venue where it is always difficult to score points. Despite being a team that was close to relegation, they had only lost once at home. The home team players came out with plenty of energy and after 16 minutes, they put themselves in front (1-0). Of course, in the previous play the opening goal could have been scored by the UD Almeria 'B' team, yet the goalkeeper denied the visitors' attempt with a great save.
After this goal, the visitors created more chances and inside 37 minutes, the Academy products cancelled out the Granadinos' opener. Marciano took advantage of a fruitful reverse pass from peer Nuñez and beat the goalkeeper.
The first chance of the second half was for the Almerienses in the 58th minute, Marciano would have the opportunity to slam in the second, but once again, the Huétor Tájar keeper saved and, as happened in the first half, only two minutes later, Scigliotti scored the game winning goal to seal a 2-1 victory over UD Almería 'B', whose winning streak of four consecutive victories for Óscar Fernández's side has ended.
