UD Almería Under-19s 'A' have another exciting Spanish Cup U19 appointment as they will be playing against Deportivo Alaves U19 the last-16 round at 7pm this Wednesday. The one-legged tie and the draw decided that the match has to be played at the Francisco Pomedio ground in Almería, so the UDA Academy Rojiblancos will once again play on home turf.

It will not be an easy match at all. The team from Vitoria are rivals who base their game on non-stop attacking as they are characterised by taking the lead in the games through possession of the ball. Alavés under-19s compete in Group II of the Division de Honor Juvenil league and sit 5th at the minute with 32 points, 8 points behind pacesetters Athletic Club de Bilbao U19s.

UD Almería U19s 'A' next opponents have won three away games this season out of the nine played to date. Head coach Alberto Lasarte has assured the following: 'We're extremely excited because it's another moment in history for our Academy and for the under-19s 'A' outfit. This is the third time they participate in the Copa del Rey Juvenil (U19) but it's the first time they've progressed to the next round, so we're looking forward to this match.' Alberto also stressed 'being able to play at home in front of our fans is a plus because the fact that the game is going to be played on a weekday is a significant handicap.'

Mr Lasarte highlighted the following regarding the boys from Alavés: 'They're powerful players.' On that note, he has explained: 'We've been surprised that they base their game on a combination of talented youngsters with a good attacking profile.'

UD Almería U19 'A' youngster Marcos Peña also analysed the imminent crunch game: 'I'm very excited too and looking forward to it since it'll surely be one of the most important games I'm going to play.' The player stated: 'we're very psyched and we want to continue passing onto the next rounds as far as we can.'

The 18-year-old midfielder sent a message to the supporters: 'We were amazed the other day when we started to warm up with so many people there; the fans helped us a lot in the final minutes with the uncertainty of the score and we hope it'll be like that again.'

The Spanish Cup last-16 tie, scheduled for 7pm this Wednesday, will be free to attend for UD Almería and AD Huércal season-ticket holders. The price of tickets for the general public will be 5€ until the the Francisco Pomedio capacity is filled - 2,000 spectators-, a sports venue located in the town of Huércal de Almería.
