Mohamed El Assy: 'We're going to continue expanding and promoting the Club'

The UD Almería Managing Director spoke in a press conference held in Riyadh, where LaLiga praises the work of the Club

'We're going to continue expanding and promoting the Club,' stated UD Almería Managing Director Mohamed El Assy during a massive press conference organised by the Rojiblancos' Club in one of the rooms of the Vittori Palace Hotel in Riyadh, where the first team have travelled to play an international friendly match this Friday against the Al-Nassr FC, one of the most successful teams in Saudi Arabia that has also participated successfully at international level, such as in the Club World Cup.

The UD Almería travelling squad has created a buzz since their arrival in the Saudi capital. There were numerous photojournalists waiting for them, as also happened at their hotel shortly after. 'UD Almería have more and more followers in this country,' as stressed by Mohamed Essa, representative of LaLiga in the Middle East, who also participated in the presser held at noon. Apart from this, he highlighted 'Saudi Arabia is a key market for us and UD Almería help us enormously because it's a Club linked to this country by its owner and president, and by the support of important commercial firms.

Mohamed El Assy said 'we're very happy to be in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,' which is the 'other' home to UD Almería, so repeating initiatives like this cannot be ruled out.' The press conference served as a prelude to this Friday's international friendly, and Rubi and Rodrigo Ely were the stars. The two rated this trip to Riyadh really positively, describing it as 'a great experience from a sporting and cultural point of view.' The head coach announced that all the players will get minutes in their legs and that he expects UD Almería to compete and contribute to the show.'
