Francisco Portillo plays his 200th top-flight fixture in Valencia
The Málaga-born midfielder slammed in the second equaliser for the Rojiblancos to draw level at the Mestalla Stadium to celebrate a real milestone in his footballing career.
What better way to celebrate 200 top-tier games than with an equaliser to take a share of the spoils against one of the best teams in the Spanish top flight! That is exactly what UD Almería midfielder Francisco Portillo did against Valencia CF last Monday.
The 32-year-old Málaga-born footballer is completing his second season at UD Almeria; he arrived in the last campaign and contributed to achieve promotion to the top tier of football Spanish back in May 2022.
Portillo has played 12 matches for UD Almería in the Primera Division. With Getafe CF, his previous club, he played 97 fixtures and he also worn the Real Betis shirt 19 times and the Málaga CF jersey another 72, no less.
On a another hand, the experienced midfielder has played 97 matches in Segunda Division, with another promotion to his name; 28 Spanish Cup matches and he has featured in 14 games in European competitions. 339 football games played as a professional footballer, a real milestone in his footballing career.
