UD Almería senior and ‘B’ team squads participate in LaLiga Integrity Workshops

LFP Head of Integrity Iñaki Arbea has given an informative talk to the footballers and coaching staff this Thursday

Like every season, UD Almería have participated in the LaLiga Integrity Workshops, an educational initiative to ensure and promote the fundamental values and principles of sport, in general, especially football.

LFP (Spanish Football League) Head of Integrity Iñaki Arbea has given an interesting lecture to the UD Almeria first-team and ‘B’ team players and coaching staff in a bid to raise awareness and promote good practices among professional athletes. His talk focused on fighting against match-fixing as well as the analysis of the prohibitions and limitations established by the Law and sports regulations on footballers and coaches participation in games and bets related to football. He even cited recent examples, which show the importance that LaLiga attaches to these issues and the exhaustive control that it has been carrying out with the active collaboration of the Law Enforcement agencies in Spain.

The informative talk began with the first team footballers on the Anexo training ground once the morning training session was over. Head coach Rubi and his players were not only receptive to Iñaki Arbea's detailed explanations, but also showed great interest by asking some questions. Later, the workshop continued in the Juegos Mediterraneos stands with the ‘B’ team youngsters, who listened avidly to Iñaki Arbea after their football practice was delivered on the Vega de Acá field.

Rosa Mar Barea and Lorena García, as Heads of the Club's compliance programmes, acted as hostesses before LaLiga and accompanied Iñaki Arbea in his speeches.
