UD Almería receive Andalusia Sports Award at 'La Razón' newspaper ceremony

José Juan Bonillo, the Club's representative in LaLiga, collected the award at the event held in Seville

UD Almería has received another award. This time, the Premio Andalucia del Deporte [Andalusia Sports Award] has been handed out to the Rojiblancos by Spanish newspaper 'La Razón' in an event held in Seville, where other companies, institutions and famous people won prestigious awards.

José Juan Bonillo, the Club's representative in LaLiga, collected the award and during his speech, he stated 'on behalf of our president, Mr Turki Alalshikh and of the rest of the UD Almería family, our most sincere thanks to the newspaper 'La Razón' for this recognition.' He then added 'last season was spectacular for us. We very much hope that the current one is also a brilliant one and that the first team manage to stay up in the Primera Division, which is what all the people from Almería deserve.' 

This is the fourth occasion in which 'La Razón' Awards ceremony has been held, which coincided with the 20th anniversary of the regional newspaper. It took place at the Abades Triana Restaurant in Seville. The Almeria-born famous guitarist 'Tomatito' also received the Andalusia Culture Award while Antonio Lorente Lamarca, got the Andalusia Solidarity Award. 

The University of Malaga received the Honorary Award for its 50th anniversary. Formación Universitaria, Coand, Biopharmed, Euroboom, Mad, Elderly home Virgen de los Remedios, Silvergold Patrimonio, Microtecnic, Comercial Gallo, Tecnocolor TT Telecomunicaciones, Murprotec, Cardivais, Antonio Lorente Lamarca, Casa Gerald Brenan, Fundación Andex and Nomad Turismo, as well as Jesús Aguirre, former regional minister of health, were all also awarded at the event.
