UD Almería raring to put things in the right place

The Rojiblancos will be playing the postponed match this Wednesday with the main purpose of opening the gap with their direct rivals

The UD Almería players are facing this Wednesday (kick-off 9pm Spain Time/ Live on Gol TV) the match against CD Lugo that was called off a month ago due to the Covid-19 outbreak in the Galician team. The Rojiblancos have the main purpose of leaving things as they were on the last Matchday of the first half of the LaLiga Smartbank last year.

UD Almería had a comfortable advantage over their most direct rivals at the top of the table that have sadly been reduced as a consequence of injuries and Covid-19 infections in the squad, however Rubi's side have the excellent opportunity to place themselves 6 points over Real Valladolid CF and SD Eibar if they win the match they have in hand.

This is the Indalicos' short-term goal, yet they are fully aware of the difficulties they are going to encounter at the Anxo Carro Stadium. In addition to taking on an outfit who have been undefeated for 7 games and who are tough rivals to beat on heir home turf, the UD Almeria's absentee list continue to be a handicap.

The squad have carried out one last behind-closed-doors training session and this Wednesday, the day of the match (Matchday 21), they will flying charter to Lugo city, via La Coruña.
