UD Almería perform active recovery workout in La Coruña with full focus on SD Eibar

The Rojiblancos did low-intensity exercises and underwent physiotherapy at the RC Deportivo de La Coruña’s Sports Complex before flying back to Almeria city

UD Almería have no time for bitter regrets after what happened in Lugo and the players are now focused squarely on the next imminent test as SD Eibar are visiting the Juegos Mediterráneos next Monday, 24th January (KO 9pm CET). The UD Almeria travelling squad decided to train in the Galician city of La Coruña before flying back to Almeria city this Thursday.

After having a healthy breakfast in Lugo, where the footballers spent the night after the game played at the Anxo Carro, UD Almería headed to the Sports Complex of Deportivo de La Coruña, who kindly let one of their fields to the Rojiblancos, where some players participated in a one-hour active recovery session while some other were provided with tailored training workloads. Next, all of the players underwent physiotherapy treatments, including baths in pools of cold water. At the same time, the ones who did not travel to Lugo exercised at the Anexo Juegos Mediterraneos.

There will be no collective training this Friday as it will be a day off that some crocked players will use to step up their recovery processes and at the same time, a good time for those players who have suffered from Covid-19  in a bid to improve their fitness and get back in shape.

On Saturday and Sunday, UD Almería will be training behind closed doors at the Juegos Mediterráneos in order to prepare the tactics ahead of the big game against direct rivals SD Eibar in the race for promotion to the top flight. The Rojiblancos will be exercising on Monday morning before the game kick-off set at 9pm (CET).
