UD Almería looking to keep solid home form to remain league pacesetters

The Rojiblancos are hosting rivals CD Leganes this Friday (kick-off 9pm Spain Time)

Matchday 13 is around the corner with UD Almería welcoming CD Leganés to the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium for a 9pm kick-off (Spain Time). The match will see two teams with the highest aspirations in the championship battling it out, yet with very different runs of results. While Rubi’s men are currently second-tier table-toppers, the Pepineros are in the relegation zone, a position that is not commensurate with their enormous potential at all.

For this reason, UD Almería will not take their next rivals coming all the way down from Madrid for granted because they know that CD Leganes can react at any time. The Rojiblancos’ home form has set a solid foundation towards them establishing a comfortable lead at the top of the LaLiga SmartBank table. The Andalusians will go into the game on the back of 2 consecutive victories, so they are looking to keep their solid home form (4 wins and 1 draw) in order to link 3 back-to-back games won, as it already happened on Matchdays 6,7 and 8, and thus continue topping the standings.

The squad took part in one last behind-closed-door training session in the evening at the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium. The Indalicos are getting together at noon this Friday.
