UD Almería head to Cartagena to face first opening game

Head coach Rubi counts on 20 UD Almeria players as well as Almeria ‘B’ youngsters Fuoli, Robles and Caballero

UD Almería took part in their last training session at the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium before heading to Cartagena in a bid to face their first opening game. The Rojiblancos will be travelling by road to Cartagena city where they will take on the first LaLiga SmartBank adversaries at the Cartagonova Stadium (kick-off 10pm Spain Time).

Head coach Rubi, who have tested tactical and strategy aspects, has called up 20 available players from the first team, as well as three Almeria ‘B’ footballers who have been working regularly under his guidelines, such as keeper Fuoli, midfielder Javi Robles and forward Raúl Caballero. Juan Villar will miss out as he is still injured.

UD Almeria first team:

Goalkeepers: Makaridze (1), Fernando (13) and Fuoli (33).

Defenders: Aitor Buñuel (2), Juanjo Nieto (12), Iván Martos (3), Juan Ibiza (4), Maraš (18), Chumi (21), Akieme (15) and Alex Centelles (20).

Midfielders: Robertone (5), César de la Hoz (6), Samú Costa (30), Curro Sánchez (10), Arnau (26), Javi Robles (29), Portillo (8), Lazo (16), Appiah (31).

Forwards: Sadiq (9), Raúl Caballero (28) and Ramazani (32).
