UD Almeria ‘B’ seek to consolidate their hold onto play-offs

The UDA Academy players welcome Motril FC this Sunday for a 12pm kick-off to fight for the second place in the table

UD Almería ‘B’ are undeniably in form following a 7-week impressive, unbeaten streak including 4 brilliant victories and now are about to welcome CF Motril at the Anexo Juegos Mediterraneos on Sunday (KO 12pm CEST). It is expected to be a fierce battle with the second spot as a reward within Group IX of the Tercera Division RFEF, since both sides are currently equal on points.

The UDA Academy products will go into this league meeting not only with the high confidence that comes from last Monday’s resounding victory racked up in a stadium where it is always hard to win, La Victoria de Jaén (1-5) but also with a boost of motivation after having achieved a 4-point advantage with respect to the positions out of the right to enter the play-offs for promotion to the fourth-tier Segunda Division RFEF.

UD Almeria ‘B’ are mindful that their performance is duty-bound to be close to perfection against Motril FC so as to keep the three points at home. The youngsters have carried out training sessions at a high intensity and have been testing game scenarios with an eye to arrive as best prepared for Sunday's appointment.

Head coach Óscar Fernández will not reveal the team roster until the team pass cards are presented to the match official this Sunday.
