‘The moment of truth’ comes for UD Almeria ‘B’

The UDA Academy youth team plays the promotion play-off final against Utebo FC this Saturday (KO 7pm CEST)

The previous rounds are over and 'the moment of truth' comes for UD Almería ‘B’. After beating Marbella FC and CD Huétor Tájar in the first play-off qualifying rounds for promotion to the Segunda Division RFEF, now the UDA Academy youngsters are setting off for the Ciudad del Fútbol de Las Rozas de Madrid. The excited players will be playing their final match against Zaragoza-based Utebo FC. The crunch game kicks off at 7pm this Saturday and can be watched in streaming via the official website of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).

The youthful Rojiblancos have worked hard during the week with intense concentration. As was the case before, the boys from the ‘B’ team must wrap up a victory, since it is the opponents who came second in their group during the regular season and the ones who have the advantage of moving up a tier in the event of a hypothetical tie at the end of extra time. For this reason, as head coach Óscar Fernández reflected in the press room, the UDA Academy side will look to control every detail on the pitch.

The UD Almería ‘B’ travelling squad members have set out on a journey to the capital of Spain at midday so they can spend the night there and wake up feeling more rested before this crunch game. The UD Almería ‘B’ head coach has not revealed the squad list yet, however all the players have joined the trip with a feeling of fervent hope.
