Rubi: ‘We’ll face this game with high motivation’

The head coach states that being top of the league forces to have the highest predisposition. He praises the talent of the UD Las Palmas squad

‘We’ll face the game with high motivation,’ pointed out UD Almeria head coach Rubi at the press-game presser ahead of Saturday’s home game against UD Las Palmas. He argued ‘we are top of the table and that forces to have the highest predisposition.’

Rubi expects ‘a good show’ and hopefully ‘a positive result’ for UD Almeria since as he stressed ‘two teams with a lot of talent on the pitch will be battling it out.’

The game is going to be really complicated and the UD Almería head coach valued the adversaries’ good run of results and their high quality: ‘I’m know who the UD Las Palmas players are, some of them have been playing for important clubs in Spain and Europe, and above all, they’re footballers who play for their hometown team so they will give their all.’ He then added that all the LaLiga SmartBank squads have great players, although he specified ‘Las Palmas have two Galacticos in the division.’

By the way, Rubi seconds Pepe Mel's recent complaints for losing players who have been called up to their national teams, and in this regard, he stated ‘the regulations will have to change at some point and the Segunda Division will also have to pause when there’re international Matchdays.’

The Catalan head coach truly hopes that his team ‘keep what they’re doing well up,’ in addition to improving in other aspects because, as he stressed, ‘we’re always correcting things when needed and we could even score more goals. The gaffer continued to say like he did some weeks ago, that there is still room for improvement and that the recovery of players will be vital for this.
