Rubi: ‘We have the opportunity to make our presence felt’
The head coach made it clear that Eibar are one of the strongest candidates for promotion and says ‘our starting XI will face the consequences’
‘We have the opportunity to make our presence felt,’ exclaimed UD Almeria head coach Rubi during the press-Eibar presser. The Catalan specified that Friday’s match ‘is really complicated, but if we’re able to, we’ll assert our authority.’
Rubi does not hesitate to say ’we’re going to take on one of the strongest candidates for promotion to Primera Division, who are even stronger at home.’
There some key players who will miss out against SD Eibar this Friday. When questioned about it, Rubi pointed out that both Robertone and Ramazani ‘were in good form,’ although he added in this regard ‘but we can’t regret it because it leads us nowhere.’
Needless to say, the Rojiblancos’ gaffer stressed ‘the squad members know that they have to be well prepared and highly motivated since the players are going to have their opportunity to replace the injured or to play now that matches are coming thick and fast.’
When referring to SD Eibar, Joan Francesc Ferrer Sicilia stated ‘They’re an intense team that score goals with ease. We’ll have to do very well in order to obtain a good result.’ The rivals are also conceding quite a lot in this start of the championship, although Rubi indicated that he will work with his players to sort that out. Meanwhile, Rubi spoke of some of the next opponents, such as Stoichkov, Exposito, or Corpas ‘who is a very humble footballer in great form at the moment,’ he stressed.
The UD Almería first-team head coach has full confidence in his team and commented ‘the starting XI will face the consequences. We have to take advantage of our offensive potential, maintain our balance in defence and know how to counteract the virtues from Eibar.’
