Rubi considers the match against Cádiz CF to be 'vital with capital letters'

The UD Almería head coach states: 'We're going into the match with the need to get back on the winning trail and with the motivation to be able to get out of the relegation zone.'

UD Almería head coach Rubi classifies  this Saturday's encounter against Cádiz CF as 'vital with capital letters,' as he truly believes that 'when you haven't achieved your objectives, what matters is the imminent match.' In addition, as he added 'they're direct rivals and if we win, we'll escape the drop zone.'

The Rojiblancos' gaffer continued his pre-Cadiz press conference by saying: 'We're going into the game with the need to get back to winning ways after two consecutive defeats and with the motivation of knowing that if we win, we'll take a step forward in our aspirations.'

When asked about the Cadistas, Joan Francesc Ferrer Sicilia 'Rubi' explained the following: 'They're doing things right and they're a team that makes rivals quite uncomfortable on the pitch. They're very dangerous on the counter-attack and direct play. They have many strengths such as the driving runs on the left wing by 'Pacha' Espino, the creativity that can give, if Alcaraz doesn't come, Álex Fernández, the enormous contribution by Escalante to the team… Up front, they have five or six quality forwards that give them different alternatives. It's going to be difficult to overcome them.'

Be that as it may, Rubi has full confidence in his team, especially when playing at home. He reflected on this subject: 'We plucked up the courage against Sevilla FC and went all out for a win, deserving much more. We'll head into the game after doing things well and we're going to try to keep it up.'

The UD Almería head coach considered it key to 'know how to find spaces against opponents that defend with many footballers at the back, and on the other hand, we must avoid being impatient, rushing to score the goal before doing things right. In these games, we have to handle these situations the best we can and if possible, with everyone's support because tough rivals are coming our way.'

The Vilassar de Mar native send the ID Almeria fans a message: 'We really believe that togetherness is essential in life, and the union in football teams with our fans is vital as we all have proved at home to obtain positive results.'
