Robertone: ‘We’re taking the definitive step, but we have to take it on the pitch’

The Argentinian midfielder stresses ‘we’re at our best at the moment and the objective is to stay on track without lowering our guard’

This time it was the Argentinian’s turn. UD Almería midfielder Lucas Robertone visited the press room at the Juegos Mediterráneos to give his thoughts on Saturday 's game in which the Rojiblancos could be confirmed as promoted. The Argentinian footballer indicated ‘we’re taking the final step, but we’ve got to take it on the pitch…beating our opponents. Our situation is privileged because we’re the current leaders and we depend on ourselves, which is vital, although we can’t relax or lower our guard, but rather do things well.’

On the same note, Robertone pointed out ‘we’re at our best at the moment, we’ve won four back-to-back victories without conceding a single goal and the objective is to stay on track because only then will we have chances of victory.’

Speaking of AD Alcorcón, the 25-year-old player said ‘we’ve got the utmost respect for them. They are already relegated, but they’re going to come to win the match, I’ve got no doubt about that. When the game kicks off we’re 11 against 11 and it doesn't matter if one is the first and the other is the last. There’s nothing easy in this tier.’

On the other hand, the Concordia native highlighted ‘we feel the support of the whole city and this gives us even more strength. We’re enormously grateful to the fans.’
