Real Madrid CF will be UD Almería's first opponents in LaLiga!

The reigning champions of the Spanish top-flight and the Champions League visit the Power Horse Stadium on the opening weekend of the season (13-14 August)

Following the release of the fixtures for the 2022/23 campaign, Real Madrid CF will be UD Almería’s first opponents on the opening weekend of the top flight season. The Rojiblancos will be back in the big time hosting the reigning LaLiga champions and Champions League at the Power Horse Stadium on the weekend of 13-14 August…What a way to kick off the season!

The fixture release day draw was held this Thursday at the RFEF headquarters, and UD Almería can now officially confirm their schedule for the 2022/23 season. The Rojiblancos will be visiting neighbours Elche CF on the second Matchday (21st August) and then will have another of the greats at home, Sevilla FC (28th August).

Real Valladolid CF (away), Club Atletico Osasuna (home), RCD Mallorca (away), Athletic Bilbao (away), Rayo Vallecano (home), Real Betis (away), second-tier play-off winners Girona FC (home), Villarreal CF (away), Real Club Celta de Vigo (home), FC Barcelona (away) and Getafe CF (home) will be UD Almería's next opponents before the competition is interrupted in mid-November for the Qatar World Cup 2022.

LaLiga resumes on NYE (31st December), the date on which UD Almería visit Cádiz CF for an Andalusian derby. UD Almería will have two back-to-back games at the Power Horse Stadium on 8th and 14th January against Real Sociedad and Atlético de Madrid and then close out the first half of the competition playing away to Valencia CF and welcoming Espanyol de Barcelona. The start of the second half of the season will take place with a trip to Vallecas and the very last match on 4 June will be played at the Espanyol stadium.
