José María Gutiérrez is demanding 110% from the players in preparation

The rojiblancos work their socks off as they are soon facing CD Lugo. Darwin, Vada and Owona are already in Almeria

This week, José María Gutiérrez, the UD Almería’s head coach, is demanding 110% from his players in preparation for the next match. The competition is on again after the Christmas holiday break. In this sense the rojiblancos are adding some intensity to their workouts as the game against CD Lugo is coming up. The squad will be taking their opponents on this Saturday (6 p.m.) in the Anxo Carro Stadium.

In fact, the manager has used different match scenarios and player challenges in the coaching session. He insisted on the key part of player development and making his players understand what role they play in helping their team to win. The squad has also taken part in a circuit training.

As planned, Darwin Núñez, Vada and Owona, are already in Almeria after getting permission from the club to join in 24 hours later than the others. The Cameroonian defender met his teammates on the first day back to work, although he was doing some alternative workout.

The last training session of 2019 is taking place on Tuesday at 10.30 a.m. in the Anexo field, whereas the first one of 2020 has been scheduled to begin at 4.30 p.m.
