Iván Martos is back lean and mean in collective training after 7 months on the treatment table

UD Almería are preparing themselves behind closed doors for Thursday's clash against Girona FC at the Power Horse Stadium (KO 7pm Spain time)

The UD Almería first-team squad have begun to prepare themselves for Thursday's clash against Girona FC at the Power Horse Stadium (KO 7pm Spain Time/ Marchday 10).

The upcoming appointment is of great importance for the Rojiblancos, although Iván Martos' presence in collective training has definitely been the highlight of Tuesday's practice. Last season, the 25-year-old centre-back sustained a serious injury in Zaragoza as he broke the anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee that forced him to undergo surgery. It was 19 March and 7 months later he has begun to train with the rest of his team-mates, performing part of the drills conducted.

In the meantime, UD Almería are solely focused on their preparation for this Thursday's appointment. Tuesday's training session has been held behind closed doors to prepare the football tactics and strategy that the players will put on display on home turf. On Wednesday evening, the footballers will take to the pitch for another session.

Embarba is back in the fold after serving a one-match ban filling his sending-off against Rayo Vallecano in the last match played at home.
