Goalkeeper Pacheco kitted out in new UD Almeria kit

The Rojiblancos train for the first time, after promotion to the top flight, at the Power Horse Stadium

Fernando Pacheco, the last signing made by UD Almería, up to now, has already been kitted out in red and white colours and has joined his new team-mates. The goalkeeper has completed his first training session, which has been held at the Power Horse Stadium.

The presence of the Badajoz native keeper, who moved from Deportivo Alavés and signs until June 2026, has been the main focus of training, in which UD Almería have already started to practise tactical drills ahead of Sunday’s season-opener against Real Madrid CF.

It has been a long time. This has been the first training session of the squad at the Stadium, since the Rojiblancos earned promotion to the top flight back in May. After the last league fixture played on home turf against AD Alcorcón and once promotion was completed on the past 29 May, the grass was replaced. Now UD Almería have stepped on it again once the grass has improved a lot after the opening ceremony of the first phase of the remodelling works carried out at the sports venue. Royalverd, the lawn maintenance company, is doing a demanding job so that the pitch is in mint condition for Sunday’s fixture.
