Experienced top-tier keeper Pacheco signs until 2026

The Badajoz-born goalie moves from Deportivo Alavés and has played more than 200 games in the top flight

Goalkeeper Fernando Pacheco, who is 30 year old and 1.87m tall, becomes the newest addition from UD Almería and signs a 4-season deal until June 2026. He is a goalkeeper with wide experience in the first division, a tier in which he has played more than 200 games, the vast majority of them for Deportivo Alavés, a club with whom he has just terminated the remaining year of his contract. 

With his signing, UD Almería shields its goal after having talented goalie and captain Fernando Martínez, in addition to Fuoli, who makes the step up to the first team as a senior goalkeeper. 

Fernando Pacheco Flores was born in Badajoz on 18 May, 1992. He played in the Real Madrid CF lower ranks, even playing with the first team. In the 2015/16 season, he moved to Deportivo Alavés, achieving promotion to the top flight. Since then, he has played in the top tier for six consecutive campaigns. Pacheco has also been Spain U19/ U20 and U21 international. 

The new UD Almería recruit has arrived in Almeria city this Wednesday to pen his contract. He will be performing his very first training session as a Rojiblanco this Thursday.
