Almeria’s attention will now turn to Lugo as they face the first match of 2020

The rojiblancos welcome the year with football training tactics. The players will be training behind closed doors on Thursday and Friday

UD Almeria’s attention will now turn to CD Lugo as they face the first match of 2020 on Saturday (6 p.m.) at the Angel Carro Stadium in Lugo, which is a city in north-western Spain. The game corresponds to the 22nd matchday of the SmartBank League.

The rojiblancos have started the new year with an afternoon skill-based training in the Anexo field. In fact, José María Gutiérrez conducted a session based on different match scenarios to give players the opportunity to experience a variety of game situations. The team will be practising different tactics and strategies to improve their football skills on Thursday and Friday. Both training sessions will be held behind closed doors at the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium.

The head coach has counted on three players from Almeria B: Fermín, Ezequiel and the midfielder Javi Robles. However, Coric, Owona and Juan Ibiza have been training separately from the rest of the squad.
